Limited to select individuals who have furthered the goals of the NTOA through their supportive efforts. A letter requesting an Associate Membership must be submitted to the Executive Director.

Who is eligible for Individual Membership?

  • Full-time sworn law enforcement officers
  • Retired law enforcement
  • Military (active duty or reserve)
  • Non-sworn personnel (tactical EMS, dispatchers, non-sworn crisis negotiators)

What ID is required?

Full-time sworn: Photocopy of law enforcement ID or statement on agency letterhead from direct supervisor verifying LE status.
Retired: Proof of former sworn status
Military: Copy of active duty card and letterhead from supervisor verifying unit attachment. Updated verification required with renewal.
Non-sworn personnel: Statement on current agency letterhead from tactical team commander verifying applicant's supportive role with the team. Updated verificaton required with renewal.

Online Renewals

Membership is exclusively limited to full time sworn law enforcement officers, active duty military and support personnel. Our application lists the documentation required for membership approval.
