NTOA Board of Directors Election Notice
Term: January 2011 to December 2013 Nominations for 3-year term directors in each region will be accepted from August 1 – Sept. 1, 2010. Online voting will begin on Oct. 1, 2010 and continue through November 1, 2010. (Election notice postcards will be sent to all current NTOA members on Sept. 15, 2010)
Nominations must be submitted in written form and include a one-page resume. Mail nominations to NTOA, PO Box 797, Doylestown, PA 18901.
Central RegionEastern Region Western Region Qualifications of Directors: 1. Be a member in good standing. 2. Be at least 21 years of age at the time of nomination. 3. Have demonstrated commitment to the Association through active participation in promoting the goals and ideals of the Association. 4. Have participated in the coordination, management, or instruction of at least one Association annual training conference or training course. 5. Must have 5 years experience on law enforcement SWAT, Special Response or Tactical Unit. 6. Reside in the geographical region of the United States which she or he represents. Duties of the Board of Directors: 1. Perform any and all duties imposed on them collectively or individually by law, by the Articles of Incorporation, or by the Bylaws. 2. Appoint and remove, employ and discharge, and, except as otherwise provided in the Bylaws, prescribe the duties and fix the compensation of all officers of the Association. 3. Supervise all officers, agents and employees of the Association to assure that their duties are performed properly. 4. Meet at such times and places as are required by the Bylaws. 5. Register their addresses with the Secretary of the Association, and notices of meetings mailed or telegraphed to them at such addresses shall be valid notices thereof. |
